Portals and online communities
People look for a place. We build the portal.
We create web portals and community systems that connect people, businesses and passions: memberships, profiles, events, classifieds and content — all in one place, in English, Italian and Czech.
A portal in motion: people, content and events meeting — then every project takes the shape of its community.
Start from the need
Nobody looks for “a portal”. They look to bring people together.
Before talking technology, we talk about the community or audience you want to serve. These are the most frequent starting points — do you recognise yourself?
Your community is scattered across groups and chats
Conversations get lost between WhatsApp, Facebook and mailing lists. A community portal brings them back to a place of your own: profiles, groups, discussions and classifieds under your brand.
Community systemsYour information lives in PDFs that age
Lists of businesses, services and contacts updated “when there’s time”. An online directory keeps itself current — searchable and always available.
Directories and information portalsYou manage members and renewals by hand
Spreadsheets, bank transfers and reminders. A membership portal handles sign-ups, payments and expirations, and gives members a private area.
Membership and sign-upsEvents are organised over email
Sign-ups collected by hand, lists that don’t add up, uncertain attendance. With a portal, events get published, filled and remembered on their own.
Events and sign-upsYou have an audience but no channel of your own
Visibility on social media depends on an algorithm. A portal with content and a newsletter is a direct channel: those who follow you always find you.
Content and magazinesYour audience speaks more than one language
An international audience needs multilingual content. Our portals are born multilingual: en, it, cs and beyond, without duplicating the work.
Multilingual portalsWhat we build
Three ways to bring people together online.
Every project is different, but almost all start from one of these three directions.
Web portals
Information, services and business in one place
Information, corporate, directory and showcase portals: structured content, search, profiles and restricted areas for specific audiences.
PortalsCommunity systems
People at the centre: profiles, groups, events
Full communities like CzechsOnline and CrazyForItaly: sign-ups, members, classifieds, events and moderation, with a community that takes care of itself.
CommunitiesLateres foundation
Our framework to build fast and well
Every portal rests on Lateres, KRITEK’s modular framework: ready-made features, native multilingual support and an admin panel — without reinventing each time.
TechnologyCommunities that work
A community is not a website: it’s a place.
We have been building online communities since 2020: we know what it takes because we run them every day, on projects like CzechsOnline and CrazyForItaly.
- Profiles and identityEvery member gets a space of their own: introduction, activity, interests and privacy under control.
- Groups and discussionsConversations organised by topic and territory, with moderation and roles: the community takes care of itself.
- Real eventsCalendar, sign-ups, reminders: from the online group to the real-world meetup, without spreadsheets.
- Useful classifiedsWanted, offered, housing, services: verified listings that create practical value every day.
- Content and magazineArticles, guides and newsletters: the community produces culture, not just chat.
- Native multilingualEnglish, Italian, Czech: the community crosses borders, the portal follows.
Two real communities we run every day:
CzechsOnline
The community of Czechs around the world: events, classifieds and guides for living abroad.
czechsonline.comCrazyForItaly
The blog and community of everyone in love with Italy: itineraries, stories and experiences.
crazyforitaly.comHow it works
From idea to a living community, one step at a time.
You tell us about the community
A free chat: who the people are, what they look for, what already works and what doesn’t. We honestly say whether a portal makes sense — or whether something else would do.
1 meetingThe clickable prototype
Before writing code, you see the portal in your browser: pages, flows, the right words. Everything gets fixed while it’s still cheap to fix.
2–3 weeksDevelopment on Lateres
We build the portal on Lateres framework modules: profiles, content, events, payments. Visible progress every two weeks.
4–10 weeksLaunch and the first members
We go live, import content, open sign-ups and closely follow the first weeks: those are the ones that decide everything.
2–4 weeksGrowth
A community lives: we watch how it responds, improve it and add features following the real needs of members.
